At the moment, creating am item note is very long winded. It currently takes 9 steps which could easily be reduced to 3. The steps are as follows:
Click in the N column
Click on Add or press F2
Move to the Note section (or change date first if required)
Enter note
Click on Save or press F9
Note is filed but the new note window remains open
Click on X or press escape
Click on yes in confirmation window that you want to close the blank note
Close the notes window
This should be reduced to a shortcut command to bring up the note window, type the note and save, as simple as that.
Hi Craig,
Some of this can be easily changed in Agility. If you’ve not got access to Agility, ask your iQ Preserve guru (or maybe support?) to change:
Type Settings > Item Note > Add Command Type = One at a time.
This will stop a new note coming up after the first one is done, saving the 3 of the last 4 steps.
You could also edit the screen layout to put the date underneath the Message box, saving step3.
Hope that helps
