Could an output rule type be created for creating an object in another area of the system linked to the object you are saving. For example, create a lead or a phone call interaction when you save a quote. Or create a customer query on the back of raising a replacement order.
We already do it in a number of scenarios, by exporting to a hot folder, which then has an inbound task to create the object… but it isn’t seamless.
